Delhi may hit 50°C if India fails to decarbonise: Ex-Union Minister

Former Union Minister Jayant Sinha warned that New Delhi could face extreme temperatures of around 50°C in the future if India fails to act on decarbonisation. Speaking at an ITA event, he said, "It's post-Diwali. Night temperatures are still very high though day temperatures have come down...ACs are still running now." "We've to reduce our carbon gases dramatically," he added.
