Allahabad High Court has directed media houses to not publish photographs of women taking a bath or a dip in the river Ganga during the Kumbh Mela. It further said it will take action against publications violating the order. The court also asked organisers why the ban on photography within 100 metres of ghat is not being enforced strictly.
