Egypt's Great Pyramid of Giza was built with earthquake resistance: Study

A study found the 4,600-year-old Egypt's Great Pyramid of Giza suffered minimal damage during major earthquakes due to its broad base, low centre of gravity and symmetrical geometry and sophisticated internal design. The researchers used seismometers at 37 locations to study its structure. They found vibrations inside the pyramid showed mechanical stress was evenly distributed throughout it.
