Officials in Egypt have seized the 'Ever Given' container ship as authorities in the country demand the ship's owners pay $916 million (₹6,900 crore) compensation for blocking the Suez Canal for several days last month. The ship’s insurer for third-party losses, UK P&I Club, said that it received the claim for $916 million, the size of which is “largely unsupported.”
