The Power Ministry has issued revised guidelines for charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs), which allow owners to charge their EVs at residences or offices using existing electricity connections. Further, any individual or entity can set up public charging stations without the requirement of a licence, provided they meet the required technical, safety and performance standards.
