Social media giant Facebook has acquihired visual search startup GrokStyle that lets users search and shop for products online by clicking their pictures, with the help of artificial intelligence. The startup, which began as a research paper in 2015, was co-founded by IIT Bombay alumnus Kavita Bala. Bala is presently the Chair of the Computer Science Department at Cornell University.
