Supreme Court, while referring to the news of 57 girls testing COVID-19 positive at a shelter home in Kanpur in June, directed UP government to file a status report. SC also stated that UP, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Tripura have failed to reply regarding COVID-19 cases among children in shelter homes. SC asked these states to file a response by July 10.
