Filmfare Editor Jitesh Pillai has apologised to Hina Khan after being criticised for his "Cannes has suddenly become Chandivali studios kya" remark on the TV actress' Cannes appearance. Pillai said that his comments were "grossly misconstrued". Many TV fraternity members accused Jitesh for "looking down upon" Hina, with actress Divyanka Tripathi writing, "They can't imagine journey TV people go through".
