German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said Finland and Sweden's NATO bids will "progress very quickly", and members including Turkey will ratify them soon. "In Finland and Sweden, we are gaining two valued allies," Scholz said. The two Nordic countries that remained neutral during the Cold War, applied to join NATO after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
