Germany is considering sending more troops to Lithuania, Defence Minister Christine Lambrecht said as tensions mount amid Russian troop build-up near Ukraine. Germany is leading a NATO battlegroup of 1,200 troops, which is meant to stall any attack in the region. Notably, Russia has stationed 30,000 troops for joint military drills in Belarus, which borders Lithuania.
