Glue from waste cooking oil that is strong enough to tow car made

Scientists have created adhesive polyesters that mimic polyethylene using waste cooking oil. These polyesters rival low-density polyethylene in flexibility and strength, and are durable enough to tow a car. "This work highlights...potential of non-edible biomass waste as a renewable feedstock for...environmentally friendly alternatives to petroleum-based plastics," researchers said.
