GM ignition switch case which led to 124 deaths dismissed

A US judge on Wednesday dismissed a criminal case brought against General Motors (GM) over its handling of an ignition-switch defect which led to 124 deaths. GM was charged with concealing information from government officials, and wire fraud. In 2015, the automaker had agreed to pay a $900-million fine and accept three years of oversight by an independent monitor.
