Goa bans import of chicken, egg due to bird flu outbreak

In Goa, the state government has banned the entry of poultry and poultry products, including eggs from neighbouring states in view of the bird flu cases. "I appeal to the people my state to refrain from the consumption of chicken in the wake of bird flu cases reported in other states," Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said.
