Government securities: Central vs state G-Secs and key differences

Government securities (G-Secs) are debt instruments issued by the government to raise funds. There are two types: Central Government Securities, considered the safest investment with low risk (e.g., T-Bills and Government Bonds), and State Government Securities (SDLs), issued by state governments with slightly higher risk and better returns to fund state projects.
