The government is seeking to form panels to monitor functions of the RBI, according to reports. The government has reportedly recommended that the RBI board draft regulations enabling it to set up committees to monitor functions such as financial stability and foreign exchange management. Each panel might consist of two to three members from the central bank's board, reports added.
