The government is reportedly considering giving complete exemption from 'angel tax' to startups certified by Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). This comes as startups raised concern on receiving 'angel tax' notices, impacting their businesses. Currently, funds raised by startups above the "fair market value" is deemed as income from other sources and taxed at 30%.
