Govt resumes MGNREGS in Bengal four years after suspension

The Centre has resumed the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) in West Bengal, four years after it was suspended. The state will receive over ₹700 crore under the scheme for the remaining period of the month. West Bengal also signed an MoU with the Centre to bring the state under the Ayushman Bharat scheme on Monday.
