India has said that it will demand foreign firms working on government-run projects to use more locally produced materials. Firms in countries which don't allow Indian companies to participate in government projects can't tender bids for Indian government projects, an order said. All administrative divisions have been asked to notify the commerce ministry of projects valued above ₹1,000 crore.
