Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said the government will review surge pricing practice by Ola, Uber and others, in response to a complaint by RSS-affiliate Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM). "We received screenshots where a fare of ₹2,000 was quoted in Mumbai for a six-minute ride," SJM had said. SJM had also said people want surge pricing to be capped at 25%.
