The government is planning more steps to boost consumer demand including simplifying personal taxes, Chief Economic Adviser (CEA) Krishnamurthy Subramanian has said. He said the government has asked banks to buy out assets from crisis-hit non-banking finance companies to improve liquidity. "The government will do all that it takes to take back the growth on the high trajectory," he added.
