The Great Barrier Reef, the world's largest coral reef, has been assessed as having a "critical" outlook by the IUCN for the first time. It is among the 83 natural World Heritage sites now threatened by climate change. The IUCN Outlook builds on previous reports from 2014-2017 to track the conservation of the world's 252 natural World Heritage sites.
