A hospital in the UK has given a six-figure compensation to a cancer patient who lost most of his penis to a flesh-eating superbug following a surgery in 2013. Andrew Lane contracted the potentially fatal necrotising fasciitis infection following the surgery to remove his prostate gland. His bowel was punctured during the surgery but it was noticed six days later.
