Singer-composer AR Rahman has revealed on the eve of his Oscars win in 2009, he was "starving to look thin for the ceremony". Rahman won two Oscar awards, one for Best Original Song and another for Best Original Score, for his work in 'Slumdog Millionaire'. Rahman was the first Indian to win two Oscar awards in a single night.
