The Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Ministry on Tuesday increased the rates at which the government releases advertisements to the print media by 25%. "The decision will be of great benefit especially to the medium and small newspapers including a large number of such papers in regional and vernacular languages," the ministry said. The rates were last revised in 2013.
