IIT Guwahati researchers have claimed to have found ways to prevent or reduce memory loss associated with Alzheimer's disease. They studied neurochemical principles of Alzheimer's to explore ways to prevent accumulation of neurotoxic molecules in brain. One of the methods is application of a low-voltage electric field toward preventing amyloid plaques from aggregating to cause memory loss.
