Former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan said, "India is faced today with its greatest emergency since Independence". Talking about the economic crisis in 2008-09, he added the economic activity was not halted and operations ran normally, which has changed with the coronavirus crisis. "We should be thinking of how we can restart certain activities in certain low-infection regions," Rajan noted.
