RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said India is currently in a far better position than most other major economies, and signs for economic growth recovery are looking good. "This year we've projected 7% [GDP growth]. There was uncertainty...but now monsoon outlook has improved...oil prices remain in $65-range," he added. RBI had cut its 2019-20 GDP growth forecast from 7.2% to 7%.
