India overtook China in fintech funding in the first quarter of 2020 for the first time in five quarters, CB Insights reported. China saw its worst quarter for fintech with 29 deals totalling $175 million in the quarter. India's fintech industry's deals totalled $421 million. Asia saw a drop of 69% in funding quarter-over-quarter to $883 million.
