India has reported 53,256 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest rise in the number of daily cases in the last 88 days. The country also reported 1,422 deaths in this period. With this, the total number of cases in the country reached 2,99,35,221, while the death toll surged to 3,88,135.
