India’s hydrogen train still depends on imported core

India’s first hydrogen trainset has been built and integrated domestically, but The Core reported that its key fuel cell technology depends on imported stacks and materials. The Jind-Sonipat pilot uses Indian rail and fuelling infrastructure, while membranes, catalysts and other critical fuel-cell components remain outside India’s supply base.
