An Indian student named Vishwanath Akuthota has been sentenced to one year in prison in the US for damaging 66 computers, several computer monitors and computer-enhanced podiums of the College of St Rose in New York. Akuthota had inserted a 'USB Killer' device into them. He was also ordered to pay $58,471 (over ₹41.71 lakh) as restitution charge.
