Gurinder Singh Khalsa, an Indian-American philanthropist and entrepreneur, has decided to run for the City Council of Fishers in the US' Indiana state. He attributed the decision to enter politics to an "interest in public policy...along with the desire to give back to (his) community". Khalsa had led a campaign for the US to change its headgear policy at airports.
