India’s July wholesale inflation drops to 25-month low of 1.08%

India's annual Wholesale Price Index (WPI) in July dropped to a 25-month low of 1.08% from 2.02% in June due to cheaper food and oil prices. This indicates that manufacturers have been losing their power to raise prices as economic slowdown increases in India. Manufacturing inflation rose 0.34% in July compared to 0.94% in June and 4.53% in July 2018.
