India's gold imports in May plunged 99% from a year earlier as international air travel was suspended and jewellery shops were shut amid coronavirus lockdown, Reuters quoted a government source. India imported around 1.4 tonnes of gold in May compared to previous year's 133.6 tonnes, the source added. In value terms, May imports dropped to $76.31 million from $4.78 billion.
