India's retail inflation hits 7-month high of 3.05% in May

India's annual retail inflation rose to a seven-month high of 3.05% in May from 2.99% the previous month, government data showed on Wednesday. The inflation measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) remained within RBI's medium-term target of 4% for the tenth straight month. The consumer food price inflation for the month jumped to 1.83% compared to 1.1% in April.
