India's trade deficit narrowed to $10.89 billion in March as against $13.51 billion in the year-ago period, government data showed on Monday. Merchandise exports during March rose by 11.02% to $32.55 billion from the year-ago period while imports were up 1.44% to $43.44 billion. The country's trade deficit for 2018-19 was up nearly 9% at $176.42 billion.
