Japanese people had voted instant noodles as their best invention of the 20th century, in a poll conducted in 2000. Created by Momofuku Ando, the world's first instant noodles were launched 58 years ago on August 25, 1958. Branded as 'Chicken Ramen', they were popularly called 'magic ramen' as they could be prepared in two minutes.
