An NFT of an "extremely rare" digital artwork CryptoPunk has been sold to Israeli billionaire Shalom Meckenzie for record $11.8 million (roughly ₹86 crore), auction house Sotheby's announced. CryptoPunks are a series of 10,000 unique pixel-art characters made by Larva Labs in 2017. The one sold by Sotheby's is a rare Alien CryptoPunk and the only one with a mask.
