Amid surge in daily COVID-19 infections, Kerala Health Minister Veena George on Thursday said the state is now experiencing an "Omicron wave". "It is now clear that the third wave in Kerala is the Omicron wave," George told media. She further said the variant has been found in 94% of samples of coronavirus patients. Kerala recorded 51,739 COVID-19 cases today.
