After working as a laborer in Haryana for 15 years at a daily wage of ₹3, Ghulam Mohammad Mir returned to Kashmir to buy 3 kanals of land. He used the knowledge he gained in Haryana to grow organic vegetables. Today, the 70-plus farmer runs a thriving organic farm, employing a dozen people and training young farmers for free.
