Congress President Rahul Gandhi has termed the lathicharge by Chhattisgarh police on protesting party workers as an "attack on fundamental rights" and said, "In (PM) Narendra Modi's regime, dictatorship has become a vocation." He claimed the act "will be remembered by the people as an act of political persecution." The Congress workers had allegedly thrown garbage inside a minister's house.
