LIC purchased 5.84 lakh shares of Maruti Suzuki India worth about ₹68 crore through open market transactions. Following the acquisition, the insurer's stake in the country's largest carmaker increased from 4.99% to 5.01%, crossing the 5% ownership threshold, according to a regulatory filing.
