Maharashtra Minister Anil Parab filed a ₹100-crore defamation suit against BJP leader Kirit Somaiya. In his suit, Parab referred to tweets by Somaiya and said the defendant made "motivated, unverified" remarks against him in an effort to link him to reportedly illegal construction in Dapoli, Ratnagiri. "Somaiya is aware that making tall but false allegations...attract media attention," he added.
