A man was rescued by French mountain police in helicopter in the Pyrenees after trying to walk from France to Spain to buy cigarettes amid coronavirus lockdown. He was fined over ₹11,000 for breaching coronavirus restrictions. He was first intercepted by police while trying to drive from his home on French Mediterranean coast to Spain and was turned back.
