Maruti Suzuki Chairman RC Bhargava has said that the automaker is not commercially launching its WagonR-based electric vehicle (EV) for public use next year, citing the lack of infrastructure and government support. Bhargava said the government was prioritising electrifying two-wheelers over cars for personal use. The electric car may reportedly still be launched for cab aggregators in 2020.
