The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert, warning residents of reduced visibility, gusty winds, and a sharp dip in air quality over the next few hours. Satellite imagery showed a thick layer of sand and haze approaching Delhi-NCR, with no signs of rain-bearing clouds.
