Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has said the micro-blogging platform is considering to allow users to edit tweets by introducing a 5-30 second delay in sending the tweet. "Going longer than that...takes real-time nature of the conversational flow out," Dorsey added. "When you send a text, you can't take it back," said Dorsey, noting Twitter was built on the SMS format.
