Melbourne Renegades defeated Melbourne Stars by 13 runs in the final today to clinch their maiden Big Bash League title. Chasing a target of 146, Stars were cruising at 93-0 at one stage but lost seven wickets for 19 runs in less than five overs. This was the first time in eight BBL seasons that Renegades had reached the final.
