After the Punjab government appointed sons of two Congress MLAs as a police inspector and a naib tehsildar on compassionate grounds, former legislator Navjot Kaur Sidhu on Saturday said merit should be the only criteria. "I don't think that without passing any test you can join as a tehsildar or join the police," Sidhu, wife of Navjot Singh Sidhu, said.
