Meta said it has acquired Netherlands-based Luxexcel, a smart eyewear company that specialises in 3D-printing prescription lenses for smart glasses. As per Luxexcel, it can integrate the elements needed to create an augmented reality (AR) experience within a prescription lens, such as holographic film and projectors. In October, Meta said it's working with Ray-Ban to make AR glasses.
